Stone Tower Ruins is an ancient ruined Ikanian city and home of the namesake Stone Tower Temple. It is located roughly 25 miles southwest of Ikana Castle. It was destroyed circa 2993 BG during the Ikanian Civil War.

History[]

The settlement now known only as Stone Tower Ruins was one of the the settlements in the Ikanian homeland of the Ikana Canyons. Prior to the Kingdom's fall, the settlement was the site where King Igos du Ikana's daughter, the famed architect Gomess, chose to build the grandiose Stone Tower Temple as a holy shrine to the Golden Goddesses. However, as Civil War began to fester, King Igos rejected the Goddesses in favor of the dark god Majora, as did Gomess, who was promised the power to control nature. The Stone Tower Temple was converted into a profane mockery of worship of the Goddesses, dedicated not to the values of the Triforce or Book of Mudora but Ikanian glory and power.

In 2993 BG, Ikana suffered the sudden onset a three-day Civil War and was utterly destroyed, leaving behind only ruins and corpses. With its inhabitants struck dead, Stone Tower Ruins was abandoned and the surrounding region was rendered into a lifeless, ashen wasteland. Not even the city's name would be remembered, only known by its grand monument to Ikana's folly. Deep in the Ikana Canyons, the fabric between Hyrule and Termina wears thin, and reports of ghostly armies and cities appearing and disappearing before one's very eyes trickle in from the few souls brave enough to explore old Ikana.

The Church of Majora consider the Ikana Canyons a sacred place due being the first recorded place where Majora manifested its will into the world since the bygone Age of Myth. As such they enact shrines to the dark god amid the haunted ruins of Stone Tower.
